ABDOMINAL WALL PAIN

ACNES occurs when small nerves in the abdominal wall become trapped or irritated as they pass through muscle layers. It can follow surgery, injury or occur without a clear cause, leading to localized, sometimes severe abdominal pain.

Common symptoms:

• Sharp, stabbing or burning pain in a small, specific spot on the abdomen

• Pain that worsens with movement, coughing or tightening the abdominal muscles

• A tender point that hurts when pressed (often less than 2 cm across)

• Pain that may be mistaken for stomach or internal organ problems
